2.Run to Grotto
3.Cycle along Die Plaat to Gansbaai
4.Paddle in a kayak back to the old harbour
Easter Monday, 13 April, starting 08:00 in the new harbour
Entry fee R150 per athlete or R250 per team of four (men, women or
mixed)
The quadathlon is organised by and takes place under the auspices of
the National Sea-and-Sand Institute. Both the provincial department
of Cultural Affairs and Sport and the Overstrand municipality have
given their support for the event.

PROMOTION
I would like to introduce ourselves to your Club.
We have recently bought the old hornbill restaurant in the Hemel and
Aarde Village.
After some renovation it is now open. On Saterdays and Sundays we are serving a
"Epic bikers breakfast" together with a bike wash station in our yard. This directly
targeting the local cyclist and visitors that are riding the Hemel and
Aarde route.
Please keep this in mind when you are riding again and spread the word among the fellow riders.
We would also like to be involved or sponsor a price in the upcoming fun ride the club are planning.

Die Bestuur Hermanus Fietsryklub
Die afgelope
Sondag het ek die moed bymekaar geskraap om met my fiets saam
met die ‘vinnige fietsrymanne’ van ons dorp, n stadige
‘clubride’ te doen. Ek het gedink dat die manne nooit as te
nimmer stadig kon ry nie, en wou eers 15min voor hulle wegtrek.
Ek is egter
verseker dat ek nie bekommerd hoef te wees nie almal gaan
bymekaar bly. Met my bergfiets en tekkies spring ek toe saam met
hulle weg.
Die ondervinding
was ongelooflik lekker, veral al die raad wat ek as n ‘novice’
van die ouens gekry het, het my teen die einde laat voel dat ek
ook nou 'n bietjie meer weet van fietsry. Halfpad het ons gerus
en lekker koffie en muffins geniet, dit gee jou weer krag en
moed vir die terugtog.
Ek wil dus elkeen
wat 'n fiets en helmet besit, aanraai om gerus die eerste Sondag
van elke maand saam te ry. Dit is werklik n gawe, ondersteunende
klomp ouens wat bereid is om hul kennis en ondervinding met ons
te deel.
Nogmaals baie
dankie, dit is werklik 'n voorreg om deel te wees van so 'n klub!!!

Greyton MTB Classic
The Greyton MTB Classic was held on Saturday 16 June. The event
formed part of their annual Greyton Winter Festival. With the
all new exciting loop on the other side of Greyton that was
added this year, participants had to conquer a steep hill called
“Poison Hill”!!!. And now we all knew why they called it the
challenge, only to realise what stunning views to behold!. Going
Back down the mountain, over the Ghobos river, and then we had
to recover for what event organisers called the “Purgatory”, a
nice switch-back climb that saw us through a big technical
section. This section of the 40 km route is filled with hills
and some steep technical downhill single track. In the last 10
kilometers the route lead us through the quiet back road of
Greyton past the quaint historical village of Genadendal back to
Greyton.

The main reason for this was so that cyclist
can obtain their Licenses through their home club, and for our club to be
added to the cycling map as a hotspot in the future
Cycle club Kit available at R200 per top. This
includes membership fees. Available at Hermanus
Pharmacy.
